1. Introduction & Guidance

1.1 Guidance on Document Use

This document is Public. It may be shared with clients, suppliers, staff, and other stakeholders to show our sustainability commitments. Contact details inside are confidential and should be treated as such.

1.2 Purpose of the Sustainability Policy

Our goal at Orange Beach Bars is to deliver premium bar operations without compromising the environment or community. This policy sets the framework through which we integrate sustainability into every stage – from planning to delivery to legacy –  guided by best practices including principles from ISO 20121 (Event Sustainability) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).

2. Commitment

We recognise that our operations, products, services, and events influence the environment, society, and economy. We are committed to:

• Reducing environmental harm and promoting positive social impacts
• Minimising waste, pollution, and carbon emissions
• Building responsible partnerships and sourcing ethically
• Innovating with sustainable methods and technologies
• Upholding principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and inclusivity

To fulfil this, we will:

• Comply with relevant laws and sustainability standards
• Share this policy with staff, clients, and suppliers
• Provide training and resources to support its implementation
• Embed this policy into all project planning and delivery
• Monitor, review, and strengthen our commitments over time

3. Objectives

Our sustainability goals are intentionally practical and measurable:

Objective 1: Reduce Carbon Footprint

Target: Lower emissions by optimising logistics and using local sourcing.

Actions:

• Choose local suppliers where possible
• Consolidate transport routes
• Explore green transport solutions

Objective 2: Waste Reduction & Eliminate Single-Use Plastics

Target: Divert the majority of event waste from landfill; remove single-use plastics.

Actions:

• Run a reusable cup deposit-return scheme at all major events
• Use recyclables and compostables instead of single-use materials
• Train staff and engage attendees in responsible waste disposal

Objective 3: Sustainable Partnerships

Target: Collaborate only with suppliers and partners who share our sustainability standards.

Actions:

• Vet and prefer environmentally responsible suppliers
• Encourage partners to adopt greener practices
• Maintain transparency in supplier assessments

Objective 4: Crew Welfare & Engagement

Target: Ensure working conditions support health, safety, dignity, and inclusion.

Actions:

• Provide on-site hydration, rest, sanitation, and shelter
• Offer fair pay and equal opportunity
• Collect feedback and improve working conditions continuously

Objective 5: Embed Awareness & Innovation

Target: Grow sustainability knowledge and drive continuous improvement.

Actions:

• Include sustainability in staff training and induction
• Share success stories and best practices internally and externally
• Support staff-led sustainability initiatives

Objective 6: Monitor & Report

Target: Evaluate performance regularly and report transparently.

Actions:

• Use measurable KPIs to track progress
• Prepare an annual sustainability performance review
• Adjust this policy and our practices based on findings

4. Review

This policy is reviewed annually by the Directors of Orange Beach Bars Ltd. Any updates will be communicated to employees and publicised to stakeholders.
